About Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur is a city of the Indian state of Jharkhand. In 1919, Lord Chelmsford named the city Jamshedpur in honour of its founder, Jamshedji Nausherwanji Tata, whose birthday is celebrated on 3 March as Founder's Day. It is also called Steel City, TataNagar or simply Tata. The city is bordered by the rivers Subarnarekha and Kharkai on the north and west parts of the city. It is the most populated city of Jharkhand having people count of approximately 13.5 lakhs. In spite of its high population, Jamshedpur is a highly literate city with literacy rate of over 85%. Jamshedpur is the home of Santhal tribe and their local language is Santhali but their new generation kin are fluent in Hindi and English as well.
How to reach

One can reach Jamshedpur by road and rail. The railway station is known as Tatanagar which is an important railway junction on the south eastern railway network and is connected to Ranchi and Asansol on the Howrah-Delhi line. There are direct trains from/to all the major cities of India, viz., Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Ranchi, Patna etc. Kolkata and Patna are linked with superfast trains. You may also take a train to Dhanbad or Ranchi and then road to Jamshedpur. It may take around four hours from Dhanbad to Jamshedpur and two and a half to three from Ranchi. Jamshedpur airport can be used for bringing in chartered planes but at present there are no commercial flights to city. The usage of airport is limited to chartered planes of TATA group. You can take flights to Ranchi or Kolkata and then reach to Jamshedpur via road or rail.

About NITJSR

National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC's (Regional Engineering College) in India. This was the only REC in the country which was named as RIT (Regional Institute of Technology). The foundation stone of RIT (REC) Jamshedpur was laid by Dr. Srikrishna Sinha, the then chief minister of Bihar, with the aim of nurturing talent and setting high standards of education and excellence. On 27th December 2002, in the line of all other RECs of India, RIT Jamshedpur was converted to National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur with the status of a Deemed University as per the decision of Govt. of India. The Institute is fully funded and governed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India since 1st April, 2003. On 15 August 2007, NIT Jamshedpur was given the status of the Institute of National Importance through an Act of the Parliament known as the NIT Act.
The Institute has 12 departments including engineering, science and humanities. The Institute, with 200 faculty, 4000 students, 150 administrative and supporting staff, is a self-contained campus. It is located on the outskirts of Jamshedpur on 341.3 acres of sprawling, rolling hilly, wooded land. It has been growing from strength to strength ever since it was established in 1960. We are poised for bright and promising future with the aim to generate technical graduates, post-graduates and doctorates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. The courses provided by us have been completely restructured and prepared as per the needs of society and industries. The institute has achieved impressive placement for its students, with top industrial houses and software companies recruiting the students in large numbers.
About ICIA-2020
The Internet of Things (IOT) is an organization of interconnected computing devices, digital & mechanical machines and objects having the deftness of sharing data over a network without requiring any human interaction. It pertains to a huge count of things which can talk to the cloud using similar connectivity. IOT allows us to robotize and control the jobs that are done regularly. IOT will lead to a new putsch of the internet network which is guided by the neoteric advancement of technologies like cloud computing, mobile devices, sensor network etc. With the volatile advancement of Internet of Things (IOT) and its applications, the challenging problems in computation to serve the self-regulating e-applications are increasing exponentially.
ICIA-2020 will provide a stage to research scholars, scientists and practitioners to put forward and discuss the recent innovations, concerns and trends in the region of computational intelligence. The attendees can also enlighten the challenges faced and possible solutions found in the computation of various applications of IOT. Thus, the major objective of this conference is to bring various experts of research society together and reciprocate the noble knowledge, new evolutions and key issues in the fields related to IOT. CIA is looking forward to stow the gap between knowledge and next generation development of computational intelligence of applications of IOT. CIA invites all the partakers to exchange their learnings and knowledge. We are looking forward to host you @CIA-2020 at NIT Jamshedpur.
